Police say someone went into Elmvale business before it caught on fire, cause still under investigation

It appears someone tampered with an ATM inside the building before the fire was reported

While the cause of a fire in Elmvale remains under investigation, the OPP say the signs are there that this may have been no accident.

The Springwater Fire Service was called to a Queen Street business around 5 a.m. Wednesday with reports of a fire inside. Fire crews arrived to find smoke billowing from within, while police say a door to the store was insecure. The OPP say it appears someone had entered the building prior to the fire. Initial investigation suggested an ATM inside the business was tampered with prior to the fire.
