Police say teen suffered only minor injuries in Bradford crash despite social media rumours otherwise

Posts indicate child struck Wednesday evening

South Simcoe Police have shut down the rumour mill about an incident in Bradford Wednesday.

The Service says it is aware of social media posts indicating a child was struck by a vehicle Wednesday evening, but say that’s only part of the truth. Police did respond to an incident that involved a 17-year-old male operating an electric scooter who was involved in a collision with another vehicle.

Paramedics attended the scene and only minor injuries were involved. The teen was treated at the scene.

The police investigation continues, no charges have been laid.
