A vehicle that fled the scene of property damage at a business on County Road 90 was spotted soon after by Huronia OPP officers investigating the incident.
Police were contacted Sunday afternoon to attend a business in regard to property damage caused by a vehicle that did not stick around. Officers were able to view video footage of the incident.
A short time later, while on patrol, the officers saw this vehicle travelling along County Road 90 and realized it was the same vehicle involved in the incident. Police noticed the licence plates on the vehicle were colour photocopies and had been laminated with plastic. The vehicle was stopped by officers and the driver was arrested.
A 43-year-old Barrie man was charged with driving a vehicle without plates, operating a motor vehicle with no insurance and operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited.
The vehicle was impounded for 45 days.
The driver has a court date in Collingwood on Dec. 21.
