There was confirmation from Ontario Provincial Police on Friday afternoon that a body found in the area of 25th Sideroad in Adjala-Tosorontio has been identified as 24-year-old William Schernhammer.
According to police, the remains were located around 8:40 p.m. on Jan. 21, and a post-mortem was done a few days later.
Schernhammer was last seen alive in Alliston around 12:30 a.m. on Jan 12.
The cause of death is not being be released as the investigation is ongoing, stated police in a news release.
They said more information will be released as it becomes available.
