Police say the 30-year-old with a G1 licence was travelling 93 km/h on Bayfield Street near Hanmer Street on Sunday.

The man's driver's licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.

In a post on X, police said: "Slow down. Stay safe. No destination is worth the risk."
