Police found the 25-year-old who was now in an argument and getting aggressive with another person. The officer moved in to defuse the situation and ended up arresting the man when they discovered he was breaching a probation order.

Turns out, before that, the man allegedly stormed into a downtown restaurant and began throwing chairs on the outdoor patio.

The accused was taken to police headquarters, where police learned he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for theft under $5,000 from an incident at a Big Bay Point convenience store in early April.

He was charged with failing to comply with a probation order, assault, causing a disturbance, and theft under $5,000.

The suspect was held for a bail hearing.
