Driver fails to stop for RIDE check in Collingwood

A 24-year-old Wasaga Beach man has been charged after OPP say a driver failed to stop for a RIDE check.

Collingwood and Blue Mountains OPP had been conducting RIDE checks early Saturday morning near the Pretty River Parkway and Ontario Street in Collingwood when a driver failed to stop.

The accused has been charged with:

  • Flight from Peace Officer
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

Drivers are required by law to safely pull over to the right when signalled by emergency vehicles.
