It’s official, they’re remaking the 1989 film “Road House.”

The original starred Patrick Swayze as a bouncer who’s tasked with cleaning up a sleezy bar and it’s crime riddled town.

The movie was never a hit with critics or the box office, but has become a cult classic over the decades.

The remake, which stars Jake Gyllenhaal as a UFC fighter is in production.

According to Deadline, the new movie follows Gyllenhaal who takes a job as a bouncer at a rough-and-tumble roadhouse in the Florida Keys, but soon discovers that not everything is what it seems in this tropical paradise.

Joining Gyllenhaal on the screen is UFC Champion Conor McGregor. This will be the two time champs first major picture.

Reports say McGregor wanted his first film to a perfect fit.

When he was asked to join the remake he watched the original. After seeing the Swayze version, he was all in for the remake.

Exact details of his character aren’t known, expect that he will play an original character and not himself.
