The search is on for two suspects after an attempted armed robbery at Cash Money on Mapleview Drive West at Bryne Drive.
Police were alerted shortly before 8 p.m. on Thursday.
The canine unit was brought in and police also used a drone to try and track the suspects.
"Police were able to determine that the suspects fled in a motor vehicle that had been parked nearby after the attempted robbery," according to a news release from police on Friday.
Police said one of the suspects was armed with a small sledgehammer, while the other had a handgun.
Through the investigation that followed and assisted by surveillance video obtained from businesses in the area, police have been able to determine that they are searching for two suspects who are described as:
Suspect #1:
Male white, black and white Nike Shoes, black pants, black balaclava, black jacket carrying a small sledgehammer with a wooden handle.
Suspect #2:
Male white, black balaclava, black boots, black backpack with some shape of a logo on it, carrying a black handgun.
Police have also determined that the suspects did not obtain any money in this attempted robbery.
