A lockdown at Innisdale Secondary School around noon on Tuesday was triggered by a robbery of a young person that occurred in a nearby wooded area, according to Barrie police.

In an update provided on Wednesday, police said officers attended to a report of a robbery in a wooded area south of Little Avenue and east of Bayview Drive.

"The investigation initially led police to a nearby secondary school that was placed in lockdown. A short time later, the lockdown was lifted after police located and arrested a number of students who were believed to have been involved," police said in a news release.
