Rough Start For Colts In Three-Game Marathon
IceDogs showed no mercy
The Barrie Colts couldn’t stampede their way out of this one.
Facing the IceDogs in a rare Thursday night away game the Colts fell behind early.
They were down 3-0 at the end of the first period. The IceDogs added three more in the second frame. That spelled the end for Maksim Zhukov between the pipes. Kai Edmonds came on in relief.
The Colts finally got on the board in the third with tallies from Peter Fleming – his 1st OHL goal – and Tyler Tucker with his 4th of the campaign.
The second of this three-games-in-three-nights stretch is tonight against the Wolves in Sudbury. The boys are back in town tomorrow night for a rematch with the IceDogs.
There are still tickets available for Saturday nights game against Niagara, you can get yours here.
