(Updated) Suspect in custody following fire at Salvation Army Thrift Store: Barrie police

Update: Barrie police confirmed on Saturday night that a 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fire earlier today at the Salvation Army Thrift Store.

Barrie police confirm they are investigating a fire that occurred at the Salvation Army Thrift Store on Essa Road at Tiffin Street.

Firefighters were called out around 5:45 Saturday afternoon and needed just under an hour to knock down the flames that were contained to a shed and storage area at the back of the building.

There were no injuries.

Anyone with information about the blaze is asked to call Barrie police.
