South Simcoe Police have charged two Barrie residents after stopping the same vehicle twice in one morning.
Just before 7 a.m. Wednesday, officers pulled over a vehicle travelling onto Highway 400 southbound from County Road 88 after noticing an expired 10-day permit that was months out of date.
Police say the 36-year-old male driver only held a G1 licence and was illegally driving alone on a 400-series highway.
Officers also determined the vehicle was uninsured and not properly registered.
Less than three hours later, police spotted the same car again—this time in Innisfil.
A 40-year-old woman was now driving, with the same man in the passenger seat.

Police say the vehicle still had no valid insurance and was still displaying the expired permit.
The plates were seized, the vehicle was towed, and multiple charges were laid against both individuals.
