For the 13th consecutive Saturday, Dunlop Street will be closed to motorized transportation and open to roam by foot with lots to see and do.
Life drawing with Marshall from the Drawing House: A live model will be posing on the Meridian Place stage between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. for you to try your hand at sketching. All ages and abilities are welcome. All materials provided.
Pets and pilates are back: Join Kelly Patterson McGrath, a certified pilates teacher, in front of the Flying Monkeys. Bring your mat and well-behaved dog from 9 to 9:45 a.m. for this fun movement class.
Yoga in the square: Join Nook Yoga near the cenotaph from 10 to 11 a.m. and find your ‘zen.’ Don’t forget to bring your mat.
Give disc golf a try: The Barrie Women’s Disc Golf Club will be set up with a mini-course outside Casa Cappuccino starting at 10 a.m.
West-end family fun: Located across from the Pratt Homes Theatre enjoy free face painting and access to fun interactive games and inflatables. Join us from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for lots of family fun in the west end.
West-end art: Join Spare Room Barrie for urban sketching, hosted this week by Matt Ferguson, from 12 till 4 p.m. on Dunlop Street West, near Mexhico Restaurant. All materials provided. All ages and abilities are welcome.
Open Air Afternoons: Join us from 2 to 4 p.m. and enjoy live music at Open Air Afternoons. This weekend David James Allen performs. He is a producer, graphic artist, and maker of folk and country songs including those on his new album, The Architect (out now via Garment District Records). He lives in Prince Edward County, but will be at Meridian Place stage this upcoming Open Air Dunlop.
Be sure to be on the lookout for stilt walkers and jugglers roaming Dunlop Street for your amusement.
