One person airlifted to trauma centre with 'life-threatening' injuries after Sea-Doo crash in Oro-Medonte

Orillia OPP say one person was airlifted to a trauma centre with 'life-threatening' injuries after a Sea-Doo crash in Oro-Medonte.

On Friday, around 5:30 p.m., first responders were dispatched to a residence on Lakeshore Road West for the collision involving a Sea-Doo and a vessel secured to a dock.

"One driver of a Sea-Doo vessel was transported by Ornge to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious, life-threatening injuries," police said in a release.

Officers say a second Sea-Doo operator, a 60-year-old Keswick man, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol
  • Operation while impaired - 80 plus
