Senior dies after SUV and mobility scooter collide in Gravenhurst

A 35-year-old Gravenhurst woman has been charged

Bracebridge OPP say an 82-year-old man has died in hospital after an SUV and mobility scooter collided in Gravenhurst last week.

OPP are investigating the two-vehicle collision that happened on Friday, May 19, at 10:00 a.m., at the intersection of Winewood Avenue and Muskoka Road North.

Police say the senior, who was operating the scooter, was transported to a Toronto area trauma centre where he later passed away.

A 35-year-old Gravenhurst woman has been charged with an offence under the Highway Traffic Act.
