Suspect sought after senior's wallet stolen at Barrie grocery store

A woman in her 80s had her wallet stolen while grocery shopping on Thursday morning at Food Basics on Essa Road.

Barrie police say the senior discovered her wallet was gone when she went to pay for her groceries.

Authorities say the store manager checked the surveillance footage which contained images of the theft.

Images released by police appear to show the female suspect walking behind the senior in the store.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 705-725-7025, extension 2560.
