Shawn Mendez is taking a break from the road to concentrate on his mental health.
The pop star says he made the hard decision after talking with his crew and health care professionals.
The 23-year-old from Pickering, Ontario, began his 80-show world tour two weeks ago but explains his return to the road was premature.
"Unfortunately, the toll of the road and the pressure has caught up to me, and I've hit a breaking point." Mendez, posted.
At least three weeks of concerts have been postponed. Mendez's next appearance is scheduled to be in Toronto on July 31st.
