The County of Simcoe is rolling out its bi-weekly curbside Leaf and Yard Waste Collection beginning Monday, July 7, giving residents a convenient way to dispose of seasonal yard debris through the end of the month.
How it works
- Collection begins Monday of your garbage week, but may occur any day during that week, so keep items at the curb until pickup.
- Each household receives two pickups during this July period.
- This program does not apply to residents of Barrie or Orillia.
What’s accepted
- Leaves, grass clippings, garden trimmings, and brush
- Small branches (must be bundled with natural twine, max 2 m long and 30 cm in diameter)
- Use kraft paper yard waste bags, cardboard boxes, or open-ended rigid containers
Stay updated
- Download the Simcoe County Collects App for real-time collection updates
- Questions? Call 1-800-263-3199 or email service@simcoe.ca
Follow the guidelines and set your yard waste out by 7 a.m. on the Monday of your collection week. Together, we can help maintain a cleaner, more sustainable community.
