Premier Doug Ford said today Jim Wilson was asked to resign Friday afternoon, after allegations of a sexual nature came to light. Ford said one of his staff came forward on Friday with these allegations, pleading that the story not become public.
When asked about it at a Trenton media conference today, Ford freely admitted Wilson was instead asked to resign over these allegations, and not over the addiction issues detailed in a late Friday evening media release.
