Canadian actor Simu Liu has a new appreciation for what women go through when waxing.
In an interview with "The Independent," he talked about getting a full body wax for his role in the upcoming "Barbie" movie.
"It was one of the most painful experiences of my life. I have such a newfound admiration for the incredibly brave women who go through this on a monthly basis."
The movie, directed by Greta Gerwig, stars Margo Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as her longtime partner Ken.
Other big names include Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Ncuti Gatwa, and Kate McKinnon.
Major details have been kept quiet, but occasionally we get a bit of information about it. For example, Liu said he had to learn how to dance for the film but said it's not a musical.
Liu added, "without giving away anything about the script, I'll just say that it's one of the best things I've ever read."
It's due in the summer of 2023.
