A single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Curry Rd. in Midland led to the death of a 19-year-old man from Tay Township.

Friday, just before 5 p.m., Southern Georgian Bay OPP responded to the report of a collision and discovered the body of the rider near a badly damaged motorcycle.

Paramedics were called in as well and performed life-saving measures on-scene and transported the rider to a local hospital where he succumbed to injuries and was pronounced dead.

The OPP is investigating the crash to determine if there were any other vehicles involved in the incident, although it isn't believed there were.

Curry Rd. between Midland Point Rd. and Tay Point Rd. was closed for the investigation Friday evening for the ongoing investigation.
