Sixty-three more lives lost as province-wide COVID-19 case count jumps by 477

421 more recoveries since yesterday

Public Health Ontario has confirmed another sixty-three lives have been lost in connection to COVID-19.

This brings the province-wide death toll to 1,540. However, another 421 people are listed as recovered across Ontario, with 13,990 recovered to date. This represents over 71% of all cases.

To date, the province-wide caseload stands at 19,598, an increase of 477 since yesterday.

Public Health Ontario reports there is a backlog of 14,641 tests, having run over 16,200 tests a day prior. Thus far, 397,149 COVID-19 tests have been run across the province.
