SNL shows us Urkel’s mean side

First, it was the dramatic re-imagining of Fresh Prince of Belair; now, it’s Steve Urkel’s turn.

Okay, not really, but Saturday Night Live sure had a good idea.

Saturday’s show did a mock-up on what it would look like if the 90’s Sitcom “Family Matters” took a dark turn.

It shows a darker, sinister, but still nerdy Urkel, who packs heat along with his schoolbooks.

He’s madly in love with Laura Winslow and, when jealous, beats up her boyfriend, followed with a “did I do that?”

Carl Winslow is still a Chicago cop, but rougher than we remember.

It’s hilarious, and I laughed too hard at Steve’s mom calling him a nerd. Have a look.

Lori Loughlin’s home burglarized

Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli have been burglarized.

Over $1 million worth of jewelry was stolen from their Los Angeles home on January 3rd.

No one in the family was home at the time, and the housekeeper discovered the robbery.
It’s not known if the robbery was random or if the family was targeted.

A week after the robbery, Loughlin’s good friend and former Full House co-star Bob Saget passed away.

Sources say Saget’s recent passing puts the robbery into perspective for her, saying material stuff isn’t the most important thing in life; it’s family and love.”

Netflix hikes subscription fees

Your Netflix subscription is going up. The streaming service is upping its fees in Canada by $1.50, which means the standard package costs you $16.49.

Stateside it’s up by $1.50 to $15.49.

It’s speculated the hike is due to competition amongst other subscription services.

In a statement to CNN, a Netflix spokesperson said, “We’re updating our prices so that we can continue to offer a wide variety of quality entertainment options. As always, we offer a range of plans so members can pick a price that works for their budget.”

The last time they raised their prices was in October 2022.
