Snoop Dogg has a new venture that has nothing to do with food or other ingestible substances.
The 50-year-old rapper has launched his own animated children's series called "Doggyland - Kids Songs & Nursery Rhymes."
The show caters to children up to eight years old, and is led by a cast of dogs who rap, dance, and sing to help teach social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
Snoop Dogg partnered with singer/songwriter October London, and Claude Brooks, the Emmy-nominated producer, and creator of the children's franchise "Hip Hop Harry," to bring the project to life.
In addition to being a co-creator, Snoop voices the character "Bow Wizzle," who is a mentor to the rest of the cast.
In a statement, he explained,
"As a father, grandfather, and longtime youth football coach, it's always been important to me to build positive and educational environments for all children. We wanted to bring our show to YouTube and YouTube Kids, which provides free access to everyone, so all the kids can enjoy it."
Four episodes are currently available on youtube and youtube kids. New episodes are released every Tuesday.
