Snow Angels Canada looking for more volunteers to help their Barrie neighbours clear some snow

Last year, 46 volunteers aided 10 residents with snow removal

Here we snow again! The City of Barrie is encouraging residents to get involved in the Snow Angels Canada program.

The online platform is again recruiting volunteers to help neighbours with snow removal, after Snow Angels first began operating in Barrie in February. There were 10 residents requiring some assistance and 46 volunteers willing to help them. Given snowfall predictions for the upcoming winter season, the City anticipates an increased demand for volunteers.

Folks can volunteer through the Snow Angels Canada website, while those wishing to request assistance in clearing their snow away can make do so through the same site.

The City of Barrie does not own or operate the online platform; city staff have worked with Snow Angels Canada to customize the program for Barrie residents.
