Snow Day Free Time Put To Good Use

Impromptu Day Off Devoted to Online Discussion of Cyberbullying

A Snow Day brought about by wacky weather in Simcoe County on Thursday, and it appears some educators put that free time to good use.

The Snow Day came during No Name Calling Week, a social media campaign to promote the end of cyberbullying. Some teachers and other educators used the day to open the digital floor to discuss the issue.

Barrie Police were on social media yesterday too, reminding everyone there is an online resource available, through which students can anonymously report a bully.

Police remind you that there are school Liaison Officers that students can go to directly, should they prefer a live human being to talk to.
