City crews will continue with snow removal operations in the downtown area tonight during the overnight hours. The snow removal will take place from 10 p.m. tonight until 7 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26. Crews have been removing snow downtown for the last two nights and were not able to finish last night due to mechanical breakdowns with the large amount of snow.

Vehicles must be removed from metered parking in the impacted areas by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25. Vehicles that are not removed by this time will be ticketed and towed.

This operation will involve rolling road closures. The areas impacted include the following streets, or sections of streets, during the following dates and times:

8 p.m. Tuesday, February 25 to 7 a.m. Wednesday, February 26

Dunlop Street- High Street to Bayfield Street.

Simcoe Street - Bradford Street to Bayfield Street.

Toronto Street – Dunlop Street to Simcoe Street.

Maple Avenue – Dunlop Street to Simcoe Street.

Mary Street – Ross Street to Dunlop Street.

Crews are also continuing to remove snow in different areas around the city each night, prioritizing arterial and collector roads, especially those with curb-faced sidewalks, narrowing curb lanes, and on-street cycling lanes.

Please note that residents are responsible for removal of driveway snow windrows; the City does not provide this service and plows cannot control the amount of snow that leaves the end of the wing.
