There are documentaries about Rock & Roll, R&B, Pop, and Country.
Now, it's soft rocks' time to shine.
A docuseries dedicated to soft rock is set to debut in January and is beautifully named "Sometimes When We Touch."
You just finished those lyrics, didn't you?
The series will look at the rise of touchy-feely, mushy music. Its fall, and recent resurgence in mainstream culture.
It also admits to being super cringe.
Soft rock, also known as yacht rock, has recently caught the ear of the younger generation with sampling used in new material.
Spokesperson Van Toffler says,
"You can trash, bash and malign soft rock as much as you want, but I bet you know every song in the Hall & Oates catalog."
"Personally, I'm happy that the kids are finally learning about the virtues of the Carpenters and Michael McDonald via their sampling in current hip-hop."
The three-episode series focuses on Lionel Richie, Hall & Oates, Loggins, Air Supply, Michael McDonald, and many others while also taking us through the history of the music.
It premiers on Paramount + January 3.
