Police advise public of Facebook post hoax in Bradford

The post was regarding a child abduction attempt

The South Simcoe Police Service is advising the public that a post on a Bradford Buy and Sell Facebook group is a hoax.

Police say a post regarding a child abduction attempt in Bradford is unfounded.

According to officers, it's been sourced to a Facebook account that has made the same post in multiple cities in the United States.

South Simcoe Police thank the resident who brought this to their attention and sought to verify the information.

Officers advise that when in doubt, contact them.
