South Simcoe Police Mourning Loss of Canine Crime Fighter
PSD Ronin Was a Nine Year Veteran When He Retired in 2015
They say all dogs go to heaven, that may go double for four-legged crime fighters.
The South Simcoe Police Service says one of its beloved canine members, Police Service Dog Ronin, has passed away.
Ronin was a 13-year-old German Shepherd credited with locating a number of missing people, criminals, drugs, and evidence in his time with the police service. He hung up his police collar in 2015 after nine years, going to live with his partner, Constable Matt Tomlin.
