
A dangerous drive in Severn Township ended with a spike belt and a long list of charges.
Around 5:10 Tuesday afternoon, Orillia OPP say officers responded to multiple reports of an erratic driver on Highway 12 at Vasey Road. The vehicle was located in the area of Penetanguishene Road and Ski Trails Road, where police deployed a spike belt to bring it to a stop.

Investigators say the vehicle had been reported stolen from the Midland area earlier that morning.
A 27-year-old Midland man has been charged with dangerous driving, flight from a peace officer, impaired driving, failure or refusal to comply with a demand, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, operation while prohibited, failing to stop after an accident, failing to comply with a probation order, and possession of heroin.
The accused was held in custody for a scheduled bail hearing on Wednesday.
The suspect's driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle has been impounded for 14 days.
