The 2025 SplashON Wipe Out Challenge made a splash in more ways than one this summer, raising more than $12,000 to support grieving children and youth across Simcoe County. The funds will provide eight local children with free access to peer-to-peer grief support groups at Seasons Centre for Grieving Children.
A Day of Fun with a Deeper Purpose
Held at SplashON’s waterfront location, the annual Wipe Out Challenge combined laughter, teamwork, and friendly competition—all in support of a cause that touches countless families. Since first partnering with Seasons Centre in 2017, SplashON has helped raise awareness and critical funding for children navigating loss.
“This event highlights just how strong our community is,” said Kelly Hubbard, Executive Director of Hospice Simcoe - Seasons Centre. “What truly inspires us is how people continue to come together—families, businesses, and partners—to ensure no child grieves alone.”
Impact That Goes Beyond the Water
For Brittany Gallagher, owner and CEO of SplashON, the event is about more than just summer fun. “It’s incredible to know that a day of laughter and activity on the water directly translates into support for grieving children in our community,” she shared.
Makaila Coulson, Regional Manager at SplashON, echoed the sentiment: “The best part for me is knowing exactly where our donation goes and witnessing the impact Seasons Centre has on grieving children and their families. That’s why we keep coming back.”
Kids Helping Kids
Over the years, SplashON’s support has enabled more than 20 children to receive grief support they may not have otherwise accessed. As Seasons Centre Co-Founder Rowley Ramey put it, “It’s kids helping kids—what could be better?”
