The Township of Springwater is among the latest municipalities to reopen some services to the public.
Springwater Township announced on Thursday that its Administration Centre will officially reopen to the public as of Monday, July 27. It has been closed since March 16.
Those visiting the centre on Monday and beyond should expect new health and safety measures to protect staff and the public. These include taken to control foot traffic in the lobby, plexiglass barriers at service counters, sanitization stations, and a number of other measures as advised by health officials.
The Administration Centre will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Staff will work from home or at the office on a rotating basis to limit the number of people in the building. Springwater Township council meetings will continue to be held virtually.
Meanwhile, the Springwater Public Library is reopening its Midhurst and Elmvale branches to the public on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, with limited services available. The Minesing branch will continue to provide select curbside pickup.
Expect to see plexiglass installed on the circulation desk, along with arrows on the floor to promote one-way movement throughout the library. Toys and chares have been removed for now.
