Sarah Michelle Gellar wants Howard Stern to pay up on a bet he made twenty years ago.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and her husband, Freddie Prinze Junior celebrated 20 years of married bliss on September 1st.

Not everyone believed they could last, though. During an appearance on the Howard Stern Show in 2002, Stern bet Prinze the marriage wouldn't last ten years.

"So, you're going to marry Sarah Michelle Gellar, even though you know that won't last?" Stern said.

Prinze replied, "Oh, absolutely, it will last"

Stern then bet him $1 million the marriage wouldn't last ten years.

"I want to make a written bet with you right now. In about ten years, you're going to hunt me down and say, 'Howard, I owe you money.' "Stern said.

Prinze said he was on board with the written bet.

The couple has doubled that, so maybe Howard will double up the cash too?

Prinze has joked on his social media saying Gellar will "never forget" the bet.

During an interview with ET, Gellar said Howard hasn't paid up yet. "There are a lot of charities that would like that money, Howard; I'm just saying"

Gellar and Prinze met while filming "I Know What You Did Last Summer" in 1997 but didn't begin dating until a few years later.

They tied the know in 2002.

Watch Howard make the doomed bet around the 5-minute mark in the clip below.
