Stolen Car Abandoned A Block Away in Orillia
Pair Facing Charges In Connection To Theft
Police have arrested a pair accused of stealing a car in Orillia.
Officers were called out to a Murphy Rd. business around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon with reports a vehicle had just been stolen. Police arrived at the business but didn’t have to look hard to find the vehicle; investigators say it was abandoned at a nearby business at the corner of Murphy Rd. and Highway 12. The suspects had fled on foot.
With help from the K9 Unit and several witnesses, police were able to hone in on two men, aged 35 and 38 from the Minden area. The pair are also accused of stealing a vehicle from Minden. Both were expected to appear in front of a judge at the Barrie courthouse.
