(Update) Dog located after being stolen from front lawn, say Barrie police

UPDATE:

Around 2:45 p.m., officials with the Barrie Police Service reported that Jax had been located, and is being reunited with his owner.

They added that no further information is available at this time.


Original Story:

Officers from the Barrie Police Service are appealing to the community after they say a dog was stolen from the front lawn of a home.

Police say Jax, a two-year-old, 78lb, black Labradoodle was taken from the residence on Wellington Street West today just before noon.

According to police, an older male and female in a red Honda CRV are suspects and were seen driving by the residence multiple times.

Police say Jax was outside at the time with his owner, who was doing yard work.
