Barrie police are investigating after they say quick thieves stole a truck from a driveway in the Holly neighbourhood.

Officers say it happened in the Mapleton Avenue and Silver Maple Crescent area.

"From the police investigation that followed, the homeowner was able, through accessing a home video surveillance system, confirm that the two suspects responsible for the theft arrived at the home just after 4:00 a.m. and within 15 minutes were able to gain access to the truck and drive away with it," police said in a release.

The truck is a black 2022 Dodge Ram Rebel, with black running boards, a black tonneau cover, and ghost Rebel decals on the rear sides of the bed and the hood.

The suspects are described as male, white, with light-coloured jackets, and wearing running shoes. Police say one had a light-coloured sweater with the hood up and the other was wearing a dark-coloured sweater with the hood up.
