Three from Brampton and Mississauga face charges in relation to a stolen vehicle investigation in Springwater Township.
On Monday, around 4:10 p.m., Huronia West OPP received information about a stolen vehicle from the area of Sunnidale Road and Wilson Drive.
The victim told officers that the vehicle was advertised for sale online. During a test drive, "the suspects forced the victim out of the vehicle and drove away," police stated in a release. "Although shaken up, the victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident."
Around 11:45 p.m., the vehicle was spotted and stopped by OPP in Beeton, New Tecumseth.
A 21-year-old Mississauga woman was charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
She was released and is scheduled to appear in the Bradford court in May.
A 24-year-old Brampton man is up on the following:
- Robbery with violence
- Theft over $5,000 of a motor vehicle
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
The accused is being held pending a bail hearing.
And a 23-year-old Brampton man was charged with:
- Robbery with violence
- Theft over $5,000 of a motor vehicle
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Flight from a peace officer
- Disobeying order of court
- Dangerous operation
He is also being held pending a bail hearing.
