Stunt driving charge for motorist allegedly travelling double the speed limit on Highway 26 in Springwater: OPP

Someone was in a hurry.

Ontario Provincial Police say they nabbed a driver allegedly travelling 171 km/h in an 80 zone on Highway 26 in Springwater Township.

The motorist was charged with with stunt driving.

"Caught in the act!" police said in a post on X Thursday. "It's dangerous, illegal, and comes with serious consequences such as heavy fines, licence suspension, and vehicle impoundment. Keep it on the track, not the streets."
