Cash register stolen during robbery at Collingwood sushi restaurant

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a robbery at a sushi restaurant which occurred at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Police say during the robbery at the restaurant on First Street, a man with a knife demanded access to the cash register. A server was able to safely secure herself in the back room and notified police of the situation. 

Police say the man left with the cash register and went in an unknown direction.

Authorities say the man wore a mask and a dark colored outfit. The suspect is believed to be between 35 and 40 years old and approximately six feet tall.
