UPDATE: On Thursday, March 28, 2024, Ontario Provincial Police released surveillance video of a suspect in connection with a March 21 armed robbery at a Penetanguishene convenience store.

Provincial police are looking for a suspect in connection with a robbery around 1:00 a.m. Thursday at a Main Street convenience store in Penetanguishene.
Police say a man entered the store, then he brandished an edged weapon and demanded cash from the employee. He got some money and fled on foot.
The suspect is described as white, 5'9" tall, with a medium build, and he was wearing a blue-hooded sweater, blue jeans, a medical mask and a black toque.
Patrol members of the Southern Georgian Bay detachment are being assisted in the investigation by the Major Crime Unit, as well as, the Central Region Canine Unit, Identification Unit and the Emergency Response Team.
Investigators are requesting that anyone with information contact the Southern Georgian Bay OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
