Police have charged a Barrie man in connection with a child pornography investigation that began in January.
"Investigators received an online tip concerning the uploading of child pornography. The investigation led to the execution of a search warrant and the seizure of eleven computer devices for forensic analysis," police said in a news release on Thursday.
Police said a 40-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, and during the arrest, another computer device was seized.
"Forensics were completed, and the categorization resulted in the discovery of hundreds of images of child pornography," police stated.
The suspect has been charged with accessing child pornography and possession of child pornography.
He was remanded in custody and held for bail.
Police did not reveal the identity of the accused.
