Suspect charged in connection with more than 140 liquor store thefts

A 39-year-old man has been charged by Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in connection with 144 liquor store thefts this year after officers executed a search warrant in Mississauga.

The thefts happened in New Tecumseth, Essa, Adjala-Tosorontio and Dufferin.

The loss is estimated at $70,000.

The suspect has been charged with the following:

·      Theft under $5000 ~ 8 counts

·       Breach of probation ~ 4 counts

The accused was held pending a bail hearing.
