A man arrested late last month by Barrie police resulted in several criminal charges being laid, including sexual offences, and investigators are concerned other women may have had similar experiences with the suspect.
In a news release on Friday, police said their investigation involving 43-year-old Bryan Johnson began in August.
Johnson regularly attends the downtown area, they added.
The accused was held for a bail hearing at the time of his arrest and currently remains in custody with a future court date.
Anyone with information regarding Johnson is encouraged to contact Detective Constable Wright or Detective Constable Trollope at 705-725-7025, extensions 2170 and 2646. Alternatively, information can also be provided anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or leave an anonymous tip online at www.p3tips.com.
Due to a court-imposed publication ban, no further details will be released by police regarding this investigation.
