Suspect sought in armed bank robbery in Orillia

Police say there were no injuries

Provincial police have released images of a bank robbery suspect after an armed hold-up at a CIBC branch on Laclie Street in Orillia.

OPP say at around 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, a man entered the bank armed with an apparent firearm and demanded cash from the teller. The suspect got an unknown amount of money and fled from the north end mall.

The suspect is described as:

•           Male Caucasian

•           Height approximately 5'8" 

•           160+ lbs

•           Clothing: wearing jeans, DC United White Long Sleeve Shirt, Dark "bucket" style hat and a medical mask.

Police are asking for members of the public who have dashcam footage to look for any information between 4:15 pm & 5:15 pm that may help identify the suspect.
