Wrong place, wrong time for a driver out of Bracebridge.
The OPP established a road block along Highway 11 through Bracebridge around 11:00 Saturday night, after reports came in of a wrong way driver on the highway. An unrelated vehicle approached the roadblock shortly after, but allegedly turned tail and ran.
Curiousity piqued, officers gave chase and say the vehicle sped off; police say the driver left the southbound lanes, driving over the grass centre median before heading into northbound lanes from there. A short pursuit ended when the driver pulled over.
A 42-year-old man is facing an Impaired Driving charge, along with one of Dangerous Driving and Flight From Police.
