Two people face numerous charges in connection with a robbery investigation in Angus.
Provincial police say a search warrant was executed at an address in Essa Township last month, though police did not say whether it was a home or a business.
During the search, police say they recovered various pieces of identification, which have since been linked to numerous thefts from vehicles throughout the region.
A 34-year-old Essa Township resident has been charged with the following:
· Armed robbery
· Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
· Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - other drugs
· Forcible confinement
· Fail to comply with probation order - two counts
· Unauthorized possession of weapon
· Possession property obtained by crime under $5000 - two counts
· Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
· Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
· Possession of a schedule I substance - methamphetamine
A 51-year-old from Essa Township was also charged with the following:
· Armed robbery
· Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
· Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - other drugs
· Forcible confinement
· Fail to comply with probation order
· Unauthorized possession of weapon
· Possession property obtained by crime under $5000 - two counts
· Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
· Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
· Possession of a schedule I substance - methamphetamine
The suspects were held in custody pending a bail hearing
