Bracebridge OPP officers were dispatched on Friday at 4:45 a.m. to a building centre on Muskoka Road 169 in Gravenhurst.

"Suspects broke in and with efficiency, stole approximately $10,000 worth of tools and left in a large white panel van," police said in a media release.

Fast-forward to this morning, around 1:40 a.m., when an officer was patrolling Wellington Street in Bracebridge and spotted a vehicle matching the description of the one in the Friday incident.

"The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop and the driver failed to stop as directed, continuing onto Highway 11 South," police continued.

Around the same time (1:40 a.m.), Bracebridge OPP say they had received a break-and-enter call at a building centre on Wellington Street where a "significant quantity" of tools were stolen.
