A disturbing discovery for provincial police in Waverly.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say an officer stopped an eastbound minivan on Vasey Road Thursday afternoon for speeding in a 60 km/h zone. Inside the van with the driver, police say there was an adult passenger and five children.

The investigation continued at the Southern Georgian Bay OPP detachment, where a 52-year-old Bradford man was charged with impaired driving, speeding, and driving while under suspension.

The accused has a court date in August.

His driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days, and his van has been impounded for seven days.
